my 600sl beeps 12x when trying to open garage door. after troubleshooting and unplugging the unit, i get 5x flashes. which prompts me to set the limits. however in attempting to set the limits. it stops and starts beeping 12x again. help!!
Did you have any luck fixing this. I am also receiving the 12 beeps when trying to set the limits.

I am trying to reset everything and trying to troubleshoot the garage motor but it wont work. I've already tried everything and it only works when I release the latch and lower the door manually. After doing that I go and lower the chain manually using the controller on the motor to place the grip on the latch and then I do the limit option to try and get the door up but when it's up it wont go down.. need help!!!
Aaron,
A door will not close without function photo-eyes. Please check to see whether there is a solid green LED shiming on one eye and solid red LED on the the otther. Loosen the adjustment screw and move one of the eyes until both LEDs are illumunated. If this does not work, please call Guardian tech service at 424-272-6998.
I am using Guardian Model 600SL, I checked both photo-eyes based upon your instruction. If the eye is covered the red LED is of but the green LED is flashing, How do know if the signal reached the logic board. At this time the garage open is beep 5 times indicated that Up/Down limited is not set and I wateched the video how to set the limit. I can move up but not down. The motor will not move the belt to down direction but it'll move up. Is the position encoder is bad of the circuit board?
Please help. Thanks,
Hi Jonathan,
The garage door opener will not go down, because it does not sense working photo-eyes.
When functioning normally, one photo-eye will have a solid red LED and the other a solid green LED. If blocked or misaligned, the green LED will flash and the red LED will turn off. First check the alignment of the eyes. You may need to remove one of the photo-eyes from its bracket. Move the eye until there is a solid red LED and solid green LED illuminating. If PE continuity can't be found, no matter which direction the eye has been pointed, follow the steps in this guide https://www.dropbox.com/s/p648ultedzfganc/PE%20Troubleshooting%20Steps.pdf?dl=0

Michael,
5 beeps indicates that the operator has lost its programming. This may have occured due to a power surge or similar event. Follow the steps in the owner's manual or call 424-272-6998 for tech service help to reprogam the operator.

Have Guardian 600sl less than a year. A few weeks ago started beeping 12 times and not open it close. The installer told me that it indicates a stuck motor and to shake or tap the motor to unstuck. It worked a few times but now it is happening almost every day and gets harder and harder to unstuck. Very unhappy with the product!!
Hi Karolos,
Please call Guardian tech service, 424-272-6998, from 7AM-7PM CDT. Locate the serial number of the operator (barcode label on the steel chassis above the control buttons) prior to speaking with the technician and provide him with that number. A new circuit board may be required.
My garage door started giving me the sound that something is in its path so I double checked and I had both a steady red and green light, I went ahead and reset the settings I was able to program the up force but whenever I try to program the down limit as soon as I hold down the opener starts beeping again as if there is something in the way, and again there are no obstructions and I still have a steady green and red light on my sensor.
Hi Nick,
It may be a stuck down relay. Please call 424-272-6998 for assistance. Thanks
checked the sensors and solid green and solid red on the sensors but the door still won't close. When I push the close button it just beeps 12 times. Not sure what else it could be.
Hi Brad,
It could be a stuck relay on the cirscuit board. Call 424-272-6998 for troubleshooting help.
I think the stuck relay in the circuit board has problems, Open the garage is OK, but stuck and beep 12 times trying to go down for the 3rd. times.
Hi Carl,
12-beeps could indicate a stuck relay on the cirscuit board. Call 424-272-6998 for troubleshooting help.
The device works without a remote control and the battery was changed and did not receive the signal from the remote. Previously, this happened and the amator was hit with a light blow with a screwdriver and started working again, then stopped receiving the remote signal again
